From the fine people at Case Logic, makers of music storage cases, comes the Case Logic compact disc holder. And soon will go to goodwill. The Purging Lutheran tossed out a similar case last week. Now that most music can be carried around in a smart phone or be snatched out the heavens with XM radio there is little cause for these cases anymo’. Two of the compact discs I carried around in this were Christmas discs I burned for the members of the VSG, which stands for ‘V Small Group’, our Bible study of a decade and a half. Everyone picked one or two favorite Christmas songs and one hated Christmas song.
The favorites disc the playlist was:
Christmas time is here (charlie brown)
Do you here what i hear
It came upon a midnight clear
O holy night
I pray on Christmas
The Christmas song
Breath of heaven
The Christmas waltz
Mary, did you know?
I’ll be home for Christmas
What child is this?
The twelve days of Christmas
The little drummer boy
Joy to the world
Mele Kalikimaka
Because it’s Christmas
Christmas canon rock
Gold and green
O come, o come, Emmanuel
Carol of the bells
Mary had a baby
The unlikeable Christmas songs were:
Jingle bells (dog version)
The chipmunk song
I saw mommy kissing santa claus
Feliz navidad
Merry Christmas darling
Little drummer boy
Grandma got run over by a reindeer
Hark! The herald angels sing
Do they know it’s Christmas?
Wonderful Christmastime
The Christmas shoes
Bible study stalwarts, Heidi and Danielle, designed covers for them. Thanks always to them.
