THE DAILY: Who is your next of kin? Why is that important? 5-7-24

Proverbs 27:8

Like a bird that strays from its nest
is a man who strays from his home.

This is called a NoKBox. ‘NoK’ stands for ‘next of kin’. It’s an item you can buy which helps you sort information you or your family will need in case one of yous dies. In it holds all the paperwork and references I need to attend to My Sweet Rib’s demise. Topics such as ‘who do I call?’, ‘what do I do with the corpse?’ and ‘cremation – regular or menthol?’ are neatly filed in this box. It’s really very clever. My Sweet Rib has been pouring over insurance papers, financial records and which keys go to which doors around the house. It’s designed to be used by any common man but will bring wide smiles to the neat freak, obsessive/compulsive or eternal putterer in your life! It’s made of hard, durable plastic and comes with a waterproof pouch for treats. Who knew dying required so much thought?

And now over to the sports desk. Saxman162, take it away.

And now for The Guano Report. Take it away, Max Mumm.

My neighbor has a light post at the end of their driveway of which its cover resembles a German World War One helmet. Why is this important? It is important because it keeps local birds from pooping on it.

.

See? No poop.

.

Our light post’s topper resembles a flat’ish Libyan helmet on which you see this bird evacuating. I think you know where this is going.

.

Our light post topper.
