I know some people have a lot of gripes about God and how He runs His universe. They question His goodness because a dear friend has died suddenly. They wonder why a ‘good’ God allows mountains to tumble onto villages. Why isn’t being ‘good enough’ good enough to get into Heaven? These questions are hard to explain to Christians as well as non-Christians. One thing I never gripe about is how God knows how to make a goose. He made them using feathers, beaks and pâté de foie gras, among other ingredients. The above picture shows what a goose would look like if made from a connector cable for a cheap AM/FM/CD player. And if I unwound it it wouldn’t look like a goose at all but more like an unemployed wire laying around doin’ nothin’. And who needs that? Not me. But we do need geese, not just to pick feathers for hats from but for food as well as watching fly overhead in a V-formation. I think that is just the coolest thing to see at the beginning of a day. It’s one of an infinite reasons to love God; that he made geese for my pleasure.
This wire was thrown away.
Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
